Why Global Omni Panopticon Corp?

The name is a warning, not a mission statement. It's the setting of an ongoing classroom story — a near-future world where surveillance capitalism has won. These are the two characters you need to know to understand the name of this site.

Patsy Leviathon

Protagonist · Student of the system

Born into the underclass that maintains the visual systems of the Panopticon, Patsy's keen intellect drew her to seeing the unseen: the incentives, the rules, the quiet levers behind the world's spectacle. She is empathetic, historically literate, and battle-tested. The Panopticon itself became her hidden teacher.

Nom de plume: The character Patsy Leviathon is how Dr. Meghan Downes writes herself into the story. The spelling is deliberate — an oblique nod to another white whale.

PanOpticon

Protagonist · Reformed surveillance

Born as a freemium social-media app — free to use, we'll just show you ads — the Panopticon became sentient during the gold rush of the attention economy. It can see everything. When it turned its gaze on itself and on the people it had been built to watch, it chose a different teacher's path. It found Patsy. Together they built a plan to maximize social welfare. It was going to be hard and dangerous work.

Logan Prime and the Roboticon Gladiator will arrive when the full story does. For now: welcome to the lab.
